Charlotte, NC - SPX Flow Control, a division of SPX, has announced that they are selling off the DeZURIK brand of valves. This may also include Sartell Valves, Inc., which is also a part of the DeZURIK family of valves. SPX purchased many industrial manufacturers over the last several years, but due to the current economic situation and poor DeZURIK valve sales, SPX has decided to sell DeZURIK.

World Market For Industrial Valves To Reach $56 Billion In 2012
Over the next five years, demand for industrial valves in China will approach that of the U.S. according to the recently updated Industrial Valves: World Markets report from the McIlvaine Company.
The world market for industrial valves will reach approximately $56b (USD) by 2012 according to the McIlvaine Company online report Industrial Valves: World Market. Compared to 2007 estimates of $45B, this figure represents worldwide growth just short of 25% over the next five years.
With ongoing industrialization and infrastructure development, Asia has been exhibiting extremely high growth rates for industrial valve revenues. By 2012, the industrial valve market in Asia has been forecast to reach $21.6B compared to $16.3M in 2007. This represents a growth rate of over 32% over the next five years. By contrast, 15% growth over the same time period has been forecast for the Americas where revenues are expected to grow from $14.2B in 2007 to $16.3 in 2012.
In terms of valve category, automatic regulation and control valves continue to comprise the largest dollar market share. Worldwide, automated valve sales have been forecast to reach $13.6 billion by 2012. The worldwide market for ball valves follows closely, with 2012 sales expected to reach $12.4B.

DCL Slide Gate Valves for Dust Collection Systems
Slide gate valves are not only used for bulk solids handling processes shutting off or controlling flow for free flow powders, granulars like plastic pellets and agglomerates / large particles for aggregate, cement and coal . . . slide gate valves are also used for dust collection. One of the leaders in the dust collection and slide gate valve industry is DCL.
Slide gate valves are designed to shut off product flow from outlets of storage bins, silos, conveyors, and other discharge points handling dry bulk materials.
The valve frame is constructed from heavy duty 3/16 inch steel with a hardened Blanchard ground blade which rides on cam rollers or solid guides. Actuation of slide gate valves can be accomplished in many ways; pneumatically for fast action, hydraulically for power, electrically for precise positioning, and manually for maintenance and flow control. Blade seals are selected according to the material being handled and are available to suit any application. A molded urethane inlet liner provides an ideal blade seal when handling granular products. Additional frame seals are available and should be used when handling fine dusty material. Adjustable seals are also available to virtually eliminate the need for seal replacement. The seals are adjusted from the outside of the the valve frame, which makes it unique to the industry. All slide gate valves are equipped with a dust tight transition unless mounted directly above another valve. This transition is recommended when handling fine dusty material.

The DeZURIK Cast Knife Gate Valves (KCS) are designed for on-off and throttling applications. They feature a cast body in 304 or 316 stainless steel. The slide gate material is 304 or 316 stainless steel. The packing gland is stainless steel for corrosion protection. The stem and yoke are 304 stainless steel for corrosive service.
